M6 Images has been operational since early 2002, initially the website was used as a stock photo retail site with thousands of images on stock. In January 2009 we changed our approach, from now on we portray only images of the highest quality which are hand picked from portfolios of the leading Icelandic photographers. This ensures that we display only the best of the best in Icelandic photography.

Our terms of usage for the images portrayed on this website are as follows: you are free to download the images to your personal computer for your viewing pleasure free of charge. However distribution of the images to the 3´rd party without written consent of the image owner is forbidden. The price for images varies with regards to usage and the content of the image, please look at the tariffs at the The Icelandic Visual Art Copyright Association website for reference.

On the 16´th of April 2002 a law was passed regarding online business and other electronic service no: 30/2002. The law among other things applies to the information the seller obtains through the transaction. The Icelandic Competition Authority monitors that the service or goods provider follows the 6.-7. and 9.-11. articles of the law in their operation. We encourage you to look at the website of the Competition Authority for more information.
Below is a short summary of the content of the law regarding online business and other electronic service no: 30/2002.
Before the order is made:
• For a purchase agreement to be valid there is no need for technicalities. You simply send us an email with information regarding the image in question and the usage and we send you back a price quote via email.
• All communications are saved incase of discrepancies.
• Prices always include VAT unless sold abroad, then prices are without VAT.
• When the customer has ordered an image an invoice is made which is sent to the customer and payment must be made within 15 days, please note that the customer can cancel the order within 14 days from ordering, after that the contract is binding.
• Price quotes are valid for 7 days from the date in the quote, M6 Images reserves the right to cancel quotes after that timeframe.

Ordering:
• M6 Images confirms via email that the order is received and issues an estimated delivery time.
• All complaints must be sent to info@m6.is
• M6 Images does not put any terms on order canceling as long it is done within 14 days of ordering, after 14 days the contract is binding.

Delivery
• According to Icelandic law the seller must deliver the goods within 30 days from the customers order.
• According to Icelandic law the seller must refund the purchase price within 30 days should the customer chose to cancel the purchase.
